Bay Windows

A bay window is one of the most beautiful additions to a home.  Consisting of a large picture window, coupled by two end windows that are used for ventilation, a bay window can be the focal point of any exterior wall.  Bay windows can be double-hung or casement style.  The “projection” of a bay window (the distance from the exterior wall to the outer edge of the window) is determined based on the degree of the mullion that was utilized during installation, and also takes into consideration the approximate width of the window in question.

A bay window can be installed under an existing overhang or by using the home’s hip or shed roof.  Either roof system is custom framed to match both the projection and the degree of the bay window.  There are a variety of roofing styles including standard, shingle, aluminum, copper-penny finish aluminum, and authentic copper.  Our bay windows are manufactured using one and a quarter inch furniture-grade plywood which is available in either a birch or oak veneer finish.  The thickness of the multilayer plywood frame ensures the window will remain straight and guarantees that it will withstand the weight of even the heaviest of glass units.  Our bay windows(units) come equipped with a unique and fully adjustable support system which allows them to be supported from the roof rafters or exterior wall if a hip or shed roof is utilized during the installation.

Our bay windows are available in three standard colors, 11 standard PVC bond colors for the exterior, and 5 pre-finished, wood accent interior vinyl laminate colors.  These units are also available in high-performance double-pane or high-performance triple-pane glass and carry a lifetime NON-prorated warranty which includes labor, service, and even glass breakage!
